Mike Echols' latest column in Chief Learning Officer magazine argues for the importance of a more integrated human capital strategy. The reality in business today is that learning is often relegated to just development of an organization's current talent, when in fact, learning leaders have the potential to positively impact both recruitment and retention efforts. The high number of open positions means the skills gap is hurting businesses, making it difficult to find the right people. Is now the time to expand the L&D scope?
